Will it hurt my gold fish to feed them Tropical Fish Food?
mmmk, someone bought a big ‘can’ of Tropical fish food, and didn’t realize it until they had come home. Soooooo, will it hurt my gold fish to feed them the Tropical fish food?
They will be fine. It’s just that each different type of food is specifically designed and formulated to provide each different Type Of Fish with the ultimate in nutrition. Just buy them the correct food the next time around. If it is flakes, you should have no problems; just make sure that you press the flakes into the water so they sink; however, if it is pellets, you need to soak the pellets in a bowl or cup of warm water until the pellets all sink to the bottom. Goldfish cannot feed off the surface because they gulp air that is not good for them. If they feed off the bottom, then they will not gulp air.
